Our Rooms
Salsalito is set on 3 acres of land and features spacious terraces festooned with bougainvillaea and a private entrance off of the main road. The outdoor partly covered top-terrace overlooks the large swimming pool and has 3 tables and16 chairs, while the lower sunbathing terrace includes 6 wooden sun loungers with cushions, 3 parasols and a large Moroccan Gazebo with a large sofa and 4 armchairs. Tucked away on the right hand side is another Moroccan Gazebo for yoga and beauty treatments (please ask Sally what is available during your stay for an additional fee). On the left hand side of the swimming pool is the Santa Fe Suite which includes a private lounge area.
Several hammocks are scattered around the property behind the waterfall for those wishing to stay out of the sun or relax while reading one of the books from our library. Set in the grounds behind the pool is a fully equipped kitchen leading onto a large terrace consisting of a charcoal barbecue, 6 tables, chairs C/D player, a bar self outside the kitchen all shared by the guests.
Salsalito has a fully stocked Honesty bar, your own free pouring and personal book for each room. From the hallway, the main honesty bar leads out into the summer room with a bar counter, 3 bar stools, C/D player, table, chairs, 2 sofas, a big fireplace with a built in bread oven, all overlooking the swimming pool with glass doors leading onto the top terrace.
Guests like to meet up before and after dinner, friends drop by for a sundowner, it's all very friendly and you get a chance to meet some interesting locals while enjoying your vacation!
Situated inside Salsalito, down a wide hallway are 3 double bedrooms, (max 2 persons per room) all with private bathrooms ( bath/shower / bidet / basin/ WC ) called Atlantic, Bamboo and Sintra: The Bamboo room is oriental in style. The Atlantic room has a blue theme, and can be made into twin beds. The Sintra room has a calming theme. The fourth bedroom, outside by the swimming pool, is the Santa Fe room,( shower/basin/wc) which has a private seating area/terrace and looks out onto the pool.
Named after a favorite getaway, the Santa Fe Suite is the most popular and largest room available and features a private lounge area with 2 chairs, a table, sofa, coffee table and 2 sunloungers. The Santa Fe Suite also has a private entrance, private car parking and free wifi.
Oriental in theme, the Bamboo room has furniture and adornments handmade by former owner and craftsman Ralph Eveleigh. Each room has a private bathroom, maid service, private parking and free wifi, as well as full use of all Salsalito amenities.
Named after the famous region of Lisbon and the multicolored 19th century castle that resides there, the Sintra room has a calming, charming theme. Each room has a private bathroom, maid service, private parking and free wifi, as well as full use of all Salsalito amenities.
